Soap Soap who has the Soap.
Lets get down to brass tacks about soap.
here are commercial detergent bars, which real soap makers like to call over the counter or fake soaps, such as Dove, Oil of Olay, Ect. Then there is Real Soap. Real soap comes from real soap makers. Soap makers are true dedicated craftsmen and women. Lets start with the word soap which comes from the word saponification. Saponification is a chemical reaction between oil-water & a caustic. After these ingredients are mixed properly and poured, the saponification process begins. After a proper curing time in turn, you have, soap. A good bar of real soap should have a combination of oils, each one chosen to nourish the skin in different ways. These oils and a combination of herbs complete the perfect bar of soap. When choosing a bar of soap choose wisely, for some fragrance oils contain unhealthy toxins, like formaldehyde. Soap should properly cleanse the skin without endangering your health and the environment. When you look into purchasing a real bar of soap the first thing you see is the price. I usually here "I can buy several bars of soap for the price of this one bar." High quality real soap last 3 to 4 time longer than a commercial bar of soap. So realistically a real soap is more cost effective than a commercial bar of soap. Do you remember the Irish Spring commercials where the person in the shower comes out squeaky clean? You come out squeaky clean because the detergent bar has striped the body of its natural oils, in turn drying out the skin, causing dry, flaky, itchy skin. Real soap is one of the most natural ways to cleanse and nourish the skin without stripping the skin of its natural oils.
If you have never used an all natural real soap, I truly recommend you try one today. Weather it be one of ours or from another dedicated real soap maker.
Now for an FYI 99% of all over the counter products that foam or bubble have SLS (sodium Lauryl Sulfate) or SLES ( Sodium Laureth Sulfate) and at times both.
So if you think of all the products you use and apply to the body, such as shampoo, hand soap, laundry detergents and so on. That is allot of chemicals you are applying to the body.
